Ryan J. Edwards, D.M.D.
Ryan J. Edwards, D.M.D. grew up in Ocala, Florida and is proud to now call Cumming, Georgia his current home. He has a wife, Carrie, and two children, Carson and Brooke. In his spare time Ryan enjoys playing tennis and golf. Ryan is also involved with the local Boy Scout Troop 1109 in which his son is a Life scout.
Dr. Edwards graduated from Furman University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He then attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2001. He went on to attend a General Practice Residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital which emphasized training in oral surgery, anesthesia, and medical emergencies in addition to advanced techniques in general dentistry. He completed the residency training in 2002. Dr. Edwards worked in a few different dental practices around the metro-Atlanta area before opening his own practice in Cumming in August 2007.
Dr. Edwards presented dental research at the 1998 meeting of the American Association for Dental Research. He also served as the Political Liaison for the University of Florida chapter of the American Student Dental Association from 1999-2000. In 2000 he was honored with the Award of Excellence by the University of Florida chapter of the American Student Dental Association.
